Fall in Upstate New York | Debbi Marquette Photography

September 27, 2022

What is there not to love about fall in upstate New York?  First of all, the stark contrast of the autumn colors against the lush green that is always present in summer and fall makes the colors pop even more.  Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.  And red barns appear even brighter with the new colors of the leaves.  Rivers and lakes provide reflections of color along with the calming water.  It is the perfect combination for autumn landscape photography prints.

Fall in upstate New York also provides appealing drives down a country road lined with beautiful trees. Millions of leaves turn to brilliant red, orange, gold, purple and yellow. The color splashes across hillsides and valleys, on mountains and along the farmlands.  New York is famous for its glorious foliage as billions of leaves change from green to a kaleidoscope of colors. The air is crisp and cool — perfect for hiking, biking or a classic drive along back roads, where farm stands are piled high with crunchy apples and orange pumpkins.
