Alaska – Hubbard Glacier wide view shows the spectacular sight of Hubbard Glacier. In addition, this Alaskan fine art glacier photography print shows the size of the glacier. The boat also gives context to the size of the glacier. Hubbard Glacier is more than six miles wide where it meets the ocean. The face is up to 400 feet tall and icebergs 3 to 4 stories in height are common. It takes about 400 years for ice to traverse the length of the glacier, meaning that the ice at the foot of the glacier is about 400 years old.
Alaska has incredible scenic landscapes and the glaciers are one of them. See other Alaska landscape photography in the Alaska Photography Gallery Shop.
