Creek Street Ketchikan Alaska Photography Print Story
Visiting Creek Street is one of the most popular things to do in Ketchikan. It did not disappoint me. The antique boardwalk on wooden pilings over Ketchikan Creek is home to restaurants, unique curio shops, ‘Dolly’s House Museum’ and private residences. This town was once a red light district of prostitution and alcohol during prohibition. This is truly the beginning of the last frontier. It is the southernmost entrance to Alaska’s famed Inside Passage. From mid July to mid September the salmon run up the creek. Further down the trail is a salmon ladder where you can see salmon jumping up the levels. This historic landscape photography print is perfect for. your home or office.

“Mother Nature’s Showcase” and “The Last Frontier” can describe Alaska. These catchphrases describe an immeasurable amount of beauty, nature and charm in just a few words. But Alaska also has beautiful coastal vistas, glaciers and awe-inspiring landscapes. In addition, words like “amazing”, “unpredictable”, and “majestic” are appropriate. But no matter what words you use to describe Alaska, the old adage that “a picture is worth a thousand words” is true.
